Crap was just about to post this when I saw it was up. Well here's another article about it. :P http://adventuregamers.com/newsitem.php?id=1061 my ego is hurt. Hey next time you find out something this phenomenal let me post it. :P
Sorry to break it to both of you, but I already posted it a few days ago in the "most disappointing cancellations" thread.
I win!

Haha.
You just said that to be special didn't yah?

As for the "not doing Freelance Police"
Freelance Police was always a kinda tag line for them, so I win!

Great stuff. Let's hope this doesn't wind up as the third failure at producing a sequel to a superb game :ok:

Blood-Pigggy 17-09-2005 03:53 PM

The first one was the sequel they promised like almost right after S&M was released all those years ago?
And the second one is the 2004 cancellation?

Both of those died before having a chance to live, but here's hoping third time's the charm! Telltale certainly has experience with the characters, as the studio was largely formed from members of the Sam & Max Freelance Police team, who left LucasArts shortly after their game was canned.

Strange.
It was shortly after they made S&M Hit The Road, where they said there was a chance they would make a sequel soon.

Of course they never really announced, or probably never started development, so it isn't really a cancelation.

I must admit I don't know how reliable www.samandmax.net is, but they seem knowledgable enough... Still I hope they hang in there this time :ok:

Blood-Pigggy 17-09-2005 04:25 PM

They probably will.
This is a independant company with only 1 game under it's belt (I think), so cancelling their second game would be pure folly.
Besides, I don't think they have enough money to risk a cancellation. :D

Sorry to be such a pain in the behind. But this company is most certainly not poor.
It's got Texas Hold 'Em which I don't know much about. Then there's Bone: Out From Boneville. It's just been released and you can download it now. Some ex-LucasArts employees (the decent ones) helped on this project. It's a point n' click adventure game. I've yet to download it for it's 75mb.
