Well, let's just say, it's ancient tradition, that not many would recognize these days. Hebrew stuff.:doh2:

Two weeks is still, not so bad El Quia. The wife and I had only 3 days and back to work. Married 22 years and hoping for another 30/40 before the worms eat my delicate tasty flesh.

Well, I have the pictures. We went to the city of Merlo, on the province of San Luis.. It's a wonderful and peaceful place next to the Sierra de los Comechingones, on the Conlara Valley.

Here they are, the pictures from my honeymoon!

El Ojo del Tiempo, the bigest sun clock of South America. It was made by Perez Celis. Right now, the clock is one hour early, because the province of San Luis has decided to follow the GMT -2 timezone.

The Algarrobo Abuelo (Grandfather Carob Tree), a Carob Tree more than 1200 years old that is still alive. Is almost an emblem of the province.

The Sierra de los Comechingones, as seen from the city.

The landscape near Papagayos. We went trekking upstream on a river near the town of Papagayos.

A cote, a bird from the family of the Eagles.

The place from where the river flows, the destination of our expedition.

The same place as the last picture. There, the trouts go to lay their eggs (I know it's not the correct word, but I don't know it) and where the troutlets develop. I swam between them :D

The sun setting over the Conlara Valley. We wanted to see the sunset from the Filo de la Sierra, the highest point of the mountain, but we couldn't reach it on time :(. The picture was taken from inside the car from the guide while on the way to the Filo.

The last of the sunset from the first viewpoint on the way up to the Filo.

We, at the first viewpoint. The sunset had ended :(

Dining! I really recommend this place. It is called "La casa de Dina" (Dina's House). If any of you it's on Merlo sometime in the future, go eat there :D. Everything was just delicious and the prices were fabulous :D

Well, I hope you enjoyed the pictures!

I'd take all my clothes off and drown myself in it. A peaceful place to die.

Hell no, I wouldn't.

Congratulations on the marriage and honeymoon!! :) Very nice pics. The best part? I can actually plan going to that place! =D I don't even need an airplane if feeling adventurous!

Great photos. Scenery looks awesome. You must have quite a good camera, too.

El Quia 15-06-2009 06:28 AM

@arlesya: Thanks for the congratulations! And you really should go! It's a very peaceful place. I tell you: I came back as a new man. Shame that work take that out of me in ten minutes :S

@Pex: Thanks, Pex! And, that camera is not mine, is my parent's camera :(. I really need to buy one :)
