ehm i dont' know about that one. but we have a beer brand named Zlatorog (goldenhorn rock goat). according to mithology his blood has healing properties. In fact when he got shot the blood touched the ground and Triglav flower started to grow there. once consumed it made him heal all the wounds. now he is hiding form the hunters, however the flower spread across that specific part of the Alps (yeah it only grows on a small area). so you have a species with regenerating powers. :D
As for the other ones... well the info can be found on Wiki at least for some of them. I was just thinking that it wouldn't be a bad idea to incorporate them. The funny thing is i haven't seen anyone doing it. Eventhough they belong to half a Europe. The Slavs occupy major area and a lot of population. Yet their myths are not so much mentioned as maybe Germanic or Normanic ones.
I somehow became aware of that after i read one very good Slovenian novel, about the fight between Slavs and Bizantinium empire, entitled "Pod svobodnim soncem - Povest davnih dedov" (Under the free sun - the tale of the ancient grandfathers). Anyway many gods and mythical creatures are mentioned there. And it's way better than film Gladiator :)
