Wasn't Night Of The Living dead directed by George A. Romero Kearnsy?

And as for Kubrick films, the best would have to be The Shining and Clockwork Orange.

Blues Brothers is my top favourite movie.

Kearnsy 22-10-2005 01:37 PM

Yeah I think this is the one that I meant:
Night of the Living Dead
i didnt mean that it was a Kubrick film if that is what you meant.

@ blood piggy: I know, you'll just take this as one more proof of my "immaturity", but don't you have ANYTHING else to do than just making nitpicky, smarta$$-remarks to everything and everyone you just THINK could be slightly wrong?
BTW, Kearnsy pretty clearly differentiated between "kubrick's films" and "Night of the Living Dead" in his post, so maybe better start picking your own nose...

As for Kubrick's best: They surely have to be "Dr. Strangelove" and "2001", already because they were really unique and not just some half-a$$ed novel-adaptions that can't hold a candle to their respective paragons.

@Tiki: You know, those movies do have english names...
Princess Mononoke was good, but I think it's Mononoke-Hime.
:D

I prefer to call them by their original name. I don't go 'round calling The Lion King De Leeuwenkoning, either, even though that's what it's called 'round here.

Anyone else see John Carpenter's The Thing?
I saw it a few months ago, it was excellent.

The City of the Lost Children was a bit wierd, so I didn't really like it.

As for zombie films, I presume Kearnsey is talking about Guitar Wolf: Wild Zero. That's a very funny film - it shows how wierd the Japanese are sometimes.

To be honest though, I like the Lord of the Rings Films the best.

La Cité Des Enfants Perdus has a strong atmosphere, yep, which's part of the point of the movie, and's part of what makes it so great. The general weirdness... it's cool, but not the point at all. You've got to manage to look past it. Then you'll see exactly how great the movie is :)

Speaking of weird movies, anyone seen Donnie Darko?
Took a bit of thinking to figure out the exact story, but it's a very deep and bizarre film.
It's up there with one of my most favorite movies.
