I think they shouldn't use the name "Queen." Everybody knows they were great (Brian May is an awesome guitar player) but the real icon was Freddie Mercury.

This line somewhat sums up my whole point. I just like their stuff too much.

That's why I won't settle for some half-assed attempt, because it can't possibly do them justice.
I got most Queen albums on CD, I got the "Live at Wembley" and "Live at the Bowl"-DVDs... what for do I need THIS then? You surely don't wanna tell me that this would be BETTER in ANY way than the live-material from times when Freddy was still there, do you? :not_ok:

No, as a matter of fact, I don't. It could not be compared in any way, I agree.

I just find this release some kind of fresh breeze in approach to their music, and I like the performance.

Of course you can't REPLACE freddy. Its like Black Sabbath without Ozzy.

However, to shun or neglect seeing talent in spite of image is ignorant. Good music will always be good music, even if its not within the same vein as before. People are entitled to creative metamorphasis, and sometimes they surprise us with what they bring back from within the Cocoon. I've heard Queens post Freddy jam'ins, and as I said, good music, will always be good music.

I think that he was a key member (in fact more than key!!) Queen will never be the same.

They produce amazing catchy and fun songs that no one will forget and for that I will always like them with or without the beloved Freddy
