Or try swapping your monitor cable, I had a similar problem with my previous monitor (I have a LCD now). And my cable was rotten.

actually i'm using an old cable..i'll try and change it..but it'a not just ingame..it's everywhere..high contrast

Which graphics card are you using, because most of the graphic cards have tools with which you can correct the contrast..

Usually there's an option in your monitor's On Screen Display to reset everything to factory defaults. Might be an option, but you'd have to resize your screen again for every resolution.

It might have something to do with colour temperature though, check out wether you set that value to something strange. If it's to low, the colours are all to red, if it's to high, everything is more blueish: some more info on Wikipedia (knowledge is power!)

That is an old gfx card. You have tried both the contrast options provided by software and the monitor's own buttons, right?

I used to have a monitor that didn't display red at all :D

i have to set my gamma so i can remove the high contrast...but how do i do that?


*EDIT* Problem solved -i used Adobe Gamma Loader..or..wat the name is :D
