:) What can I say, I just love beeing tooled out for the task at hand. Abd don't mind having a few nasty tricks up my sleeve either.
I played CS a few times - years ago and with very poor opponents. They acted like bots and treated the game just like if it was another Quake. A little camping & sniping was enough to PWN most of them, LOL.
But that was long before I learned of modifying the configs that way, and even before I got Quake in my hands.

Quake was pretty cool. Remininded me a lot of Doom.

That's not so strange because it's made by the same people...

I've spent many hours of mindless fun with that game. There's no better mean against the stress than Quake 1 and 2. :D
