I had(still have, although the discs are ancient and non-working) this game on a 486 about ten years ago. Awesome :).

Ended up giving the 486 to my grandparents, and they still have it, amazingly. And the game works too. Pretty nice to play on those long visits.

Believe me or not, but when I was 3 I used to draw picture of civ1 at my kindergarten!
And this is the game from which I learned a lot about Earth and many civilizations! :OK:
Great game!

Me too.
Scored me a plus point for history a few years back (actually a lot of years back) since I was the onlyone who knew what Irrigation was.

ofcoarse its not that good a source... since you could be led to believe that the Pyramids were built in Moskow by Lenin in 500 BC :D

I have it, but always had some problem with it. Game crashes from time to time. (There was a CD couple years ago with Civilization and Colonization on it, with both DOS and windows versions)

Yamcha 12-11-2004 03:03 PM

I found it, and I will ask if this version can be uploade to the site.

Unknown Hero 12-11-2004 06:08 PM

Yeah! Go ask admins! I would love to see Civ1 for Win on the site! :OK:
