Hey, thnx man!
thought i already searched on their site, im on it right away, and thnx for the offer too, maybe someone else can do the review? :ok:

But as I understand it the game still won't be uploaded unless somebody actually owns it... [/b][/quote]
I own it. I actually own all of the gold box series of games. :)

The only thing that would be a pain would be the copy protections as they used a code wheel thing. A work-around though would be to keep loading the game and to write up a list of all the Q's that are asked and their answers.

Aaaah! Pool of Radiance......

[sniff][sniff]

First part of the SSI AD&D goldbox series.

YES! It definetely belongs in abandonia!!!

Flop 19-05-2005 07:45 AM

I agree. The goldbox games are major classics, they should be on here.

Yuerrk. That would be a terror of doing it. I own a booklet with five discs,
including: Pools of Radiance to Menzoberazzan plus Hillsfar...

And I KNOW that I once owned a little Dos-Prog which removed all those annoying "Enter Journal Entry XX Line X Word X" and codewheel-thingies for LOTS of old games...

but I am pretty sure that THIS wouldn't be legal.....What was it called??

Could it have been an early (!) version of dirty little helper???? Dunno. Probly not.
But I'm pretty sure the name sounded much alike...

Anyway, I lost nearly all codewheels due to numerous house-movings and now I cannot play the series anymore...ACK!

There were, and are, a number of those programs. The only one I remember from back in the day, is Rawcopy. I've already suggested hosting it on abandonia, but I don't think there's an interest.

I would like give to Pool of Radiance a whirl too, haven't seen that one since....oh...the days of Commodore 128

I just never got the silver and gold box sets

TheChosen 25-05-2005 09:08 AM

I still have the Pool of Radiance(Gold Box) for commodore.

Strobe 25-05-2005 09:38 AM

sorry to extinguish any hopes about Pools of Radiance being uploaded on
abandonia, but since this game's ESA protected, there won't be a chance
of offering it here...

Oh yeah, I forgot that Ubi Soft bought SSI. Too bad really, they've made a lot of good games.

Talin 25-05-2005 11:57 AM

Ubisoft bought SSI? now thats news to me, i thought SSI just died..
oh well, i got most of them now, so im busy reliving my childhood in New Phlan :Titan: :D

btw, codewheel and manuals can be found on replacementdocs.com
