i still think that 60 pixels is too small for a sig (plus i have to make a seperate version of each sig for abandonia :ranting: )
awwwwwwww, diddums

It's not actually that hard to resize a sig, especially in photoshop.

Many sigs are breaking the rules, I still don't feel it on my 56k though, but people try to compress your picture as much as possible please(that is posting pictures in general), and I'm saying this in the name of everyone who is still on 56k...

What are rules for if not for breaking :P

resizing it isn't the issue, its the effect that has on the proportions and quality of the seperate bits of the sig (i.e. pictures, text etc)

OMG Eagle of Fire..

Wanna fight me with me.??

Then do it face to face and not this back *dirty word* behind me.. :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:

I don't see any problems with the max. size of signatures. Mine's perfectly within limitations, and I like it. I don't see why anybody'd have a need for anything bigger, besides wanting to be an eyesore to the board.

JJXB 28-03-2005 02:18 PM

is this such an eyesore then?

Not in a single post, but if it's repeated on a page, it does tend to become annoying. What's more an eyesore, even in a single post, is something like Paul's sign... that huge text, then that out-of-proportions pic.

The proportions of the aren't an issue the size limit is a maximum, not a requirement so you can make it any size within those limits and not distort it. I can see how the quality thing could take some fixing though.

Sigs can be annoying at times, like mentioned in the posts before this one, especially ones that are huge indeed or contain some sort of huge flash component, which can get annoying to say the least, as long as some of the rules are enforced to an extent, I'm all for it.

My signature was a violation and i have removed it, hope that keeps you all happy for a little longer.. old grumpies :P
