If people want personal rankings they can ask, but the admins give you the name, not yourself, so it's a suprise ;)

They're never mean or embarrasing for the person who has it, so you don't have to fear for that :D

Do the levels (little red boxes) correspond to the number of posts? Or are they granted by admins for good work, etc?

They correspond to posts. I know that 1000 gives you 5 red squares, and 1500 gives you 6, but they all I know.
