Not sure if you can view it, but here is the link

Copyright of written material is 75 years. Of course. Patents run out every 17. Don't know what I was thinking there.

No worries guys, I work for these folks. It's just a handful of readers, so far.

EDIT: Don't want to cause any trouble, so I can stop right here. But, if you all have something to agree on, as a final draft, I have 1,000's of readers scattered at social networks, forums, mags, websites and over 1200 subscribed e-mail addresses.
Copy/paste/send several in a matter of hours.

Sorry if I am over zealous.

:mhh: The parts in blue were intended to make the changes more obvious. If you post that, just make it plain black.

I like my puppy

Well, sometimes we get permissions :)

True, we act under the name of "Game Preservation Project", copyright is still active but most of the times companies are dead or inactive &/or titles aren't sold anymore and supported. We don't arm anyone ;)

I appreciate your good intentions CrybKeeper, but unfortunately "Abandonware" has several definitions and many times it is seen as piracy.

We follow stricted rules and we even have a deal with ESA.

Have you checked FAQ and this topic?

You'll find many interesting info :)

P.s. yes that puppy is funny :p

that's neat effort there, i think it was nice ad except for the "copyright runs out" and the "legal" part, but neat effort anyways

Thanks everyone, for all the help, input and kind words.

I will read everything and re-think it all.

I'll need to come up with more discreet methods and still hit a very large target. Concerning the group at Last.FM, it's actually a great way to promote in an indirect fashion.

Linux, absolutely.

Puppy, I agree. He's cool. :max:

EDIT: I am reading now and next, will read everything I can find about ESA.
It doesn't seem profitable to hold out on the majority of older games. Game technology advances rapidly. More rapidly, than the very outdated copyright laws we have now. There needs to be some new clauses.
