Or the manual of Wizardry VII - Cusaders of the Dark Savant. Really detailled, and with cool drawings. Really beautiful one...

I loved the old massive boxes. You had cd's, 200 page manuals which you read while it was installing, piccies on the back, the installation manual, the other manual, the trouble-shooting manual, the other troubleshooting manual and the phone manual. fun!
The simcity 3 manual was a bore. wow, its black writing on white paper. That must the the boring instalation manual is what I thought. But no...

I do like the old big boxes... but they were difficult to store and the made everything look messy.

The only big boxes I still have around are:

Empire Earth (with its rather massive manual)
Ceasar III (special edition which came with a rather large manual and a big encyclopedia about the Roman Empire, I was really into Romans at the time and got it as a birthdaygift)

Also have the big Myst 10th anniversary DVD edition

Which is one of my most prized possessions... though I am not good at the games the graphical quality is amazing. I finished playing Exile a few days ago.

I dunno, my copy of MicroProse's Falcon 4 came with a binder that has about 400 pages in it. :ok:

another box I still have is simply called EA Jane's F-15.
It came in a big black box bearing only the logo of EA (no title, no graphics, just a big black box)
Inside is a green binder with the "Jane's Combat Simulator" written on it and below that "F-15"
The binder is about 600 pages thick.

I'm guessing this is either a special edition of the game or a real combat simulator intended for Military training (not so much as entertainment)
I think the first option is more realistic...

I like the big boxes. But I like it even more if a dvd style case comes in the big box so you can put the box on the shelf and just use the platic case to carry the disc. I hate the music cd style cases break too easily. :not_ok:

DOWN WITH PAPER CASES!!!!!!

I don't mind the DVD style boxes as long as I get a proper manual. When I bought Neverwinter Nights for my brother when it was new, it came in a small but solid box with manual, map and all the other extras you expect with an AD&D game. When I bought it for myself this week I got it in a slim box with none of the extras.

I've got a few of those small boxes aswell, namely:
Neverwinter Nights
Doom III
C&C Combat Pack
Max payne 2
Syberia
Galactic Civilizations
Unreal Tournament 2004

They're quite handy because they usually look nice and I can put them together with the DVD's

But the nice manual written in a book is missed in that boxes usually. Sometimes the manual isn't even on the CD, which I encountered with some games that I got in the DVD boxes earlier.
