Some month ago, my HD also began to make strange noises. It also began to freeze once in a while. I got a new HD and reinstalled the entire crap. :Titan:

Actually, I had my computer stolen too. Last cristmas someone broke into our apartment, and stole everything of value. Computer, games, dvd player, dvd movies, minidisc.... even my f**** half empty deodorant.

I'll join you in your hunt for the thiefs. :guns:

Did you get the laptop back just with a wiped hard drive then? Or did you have to buy a new one and reinstall everything (my PC got stolen last year, it's annoying). :boxing:

I had to buy a new one. Set me back 900 Euros. So now I have to live on 1 Euro per day, until febuary 14'th :cry:

Weren't you insured? We were, they gave us a huge pile of cash and we colud buy a better PC than the one we had before, so every cloud has a silver lining I guess.

When you travel as much as I do, you realize that it is just stupid to insure anything except your own health.

(You have to do a new insurance every time you move to another place). And since I don't stay long in the same place it would have costed me a lot of money to this date. And since I have only had one theft (this one), I am not sorry for not being insured.

What do you do, that you have to move that much? :blink:

I made two big moves in life (germany and USA), but after I got here, I moved only once from one town to another (did not like Detroid, not much different then war I came from :D ), but then I moved only 3 times (apartments and last one is the house).

As I hate to move :angry: , I don't belive I'll move any soon agaon. :blink:
