I just wanted to add my two cents to this

I too had this game back in the old days with amiga, and i loved it

Only problem i had was, the game seemed filled with large spaces of nothing.

Even when i got the turtle to take me around the sea was filled with a lot of nothingness.

But if you got patience, this game is awesome , it really had me gripped back then and im looking forward to giving it a go again now soem 10 years later.

Agree with much that has been said, the game remains one of my all-time favorites.

I played it on the Amiga, and it was AMAZING.

For those having problems surviving, as has been said above, head east out of the city then follow south to the fenced in graveyard. Then when you get attacked do laps around the fence to position the enemy for hacking them through the gate.

Game is incredible, and mine was bugged (had to hack the golden bird to get it to move) and I think a chunk of the content wasn't there for me... but I still loved it! :)

Map is awesome aid in a IMMENSE world... especially once that has mazes or impassable mountains to work through.

The final area is a BLAST to run around in!

I get something saying The system file is not suitable for MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Help.

I played this and won it on the Amiga. The game is a bit hard until you build your character enough but after a certain point he becomes incredibly hard to kill. After a point fighting becomes almost supurflous. You just have to manage him well in the early going, that's the real trick. I think there is also a limited number of enemies in the game and after a point you pretty much clean out the continent of evil nasties, a pretty heroic feat in and of itself, I guess. The graphics on the PC version look to be pretty terrible compared to what we had on the Amiga version (which it was originally built for). At the time it was quite revolutionary for graphics and is probably the precursor to the graphics style of the Baldur's Gate series and other related titles.

How can I remove those boring sound in the game that come out of the system speaker? :help:

Erm, switch off your speakers?

The Faerytale Adventure is still one of my favourite games ever. But I play it on the Amiga because the PC version is horrible to me. For those of you who want to get the Amiga feeling, play the emulated version on WinUAE.

Good game. Previously on Mega Drive. Download. Or die. Actually, do both.
