There IS one, actually. Vide Community Reviews forum.
Feel free to post your review there, Jonesy. |
That's what's going to happen and then we'll use the extras section to link to it.
I just got finished playing the Arcade version and Robocop 2d. The arcade version was clearly designed to suck quarters. But Robocop 2d was very cool. Clips from the movie, better gameplay, I could really dig it. Check that one out. |
corrupt zip file?
I can't extract the zip file. Tried with Winrar and without, I get error messages about it being invalid, corrupt etc.
:dunno: |

Robocop 2D
I just tried "Robocop 2D" aswell, it was great especially the music. Though I found it perhaps a bit linear compared to other versions. No climbing stairs or jumping, what is he a friggin Dalek? Also, what's the deal with Robocop being so short!

No sound in DOSBox .74
I have no sound in this game. I tried various bitrates and CPU presets.
M key in game changes graphic modes, but there is still no sound. Code:

For some reason I have never heard of this game :P I believe it's one of those bad license games?

There are even two different RoboCop games. One was made by Ocean Software for computer market (it is this game), and I found it quite good - at least it was on my Spectrum. :) Several gameplay modes, multi-level stages, etc.
Second was made by the Data East, and target for arcades (it's this one). It was ported to computers too. And it's this version that available on site. Funny enough, regardless of Ocean copyright, and clearly visible in Apple II screenshot "Licensed from Ocean Software Ltd." mark, Moby said that it's first, Ocean version "adapted from arcade one". :) And boxshots definitely messed between this two games. Huh. ...A-and no, there are _three_ games. Commodore boxshots shown version identical to NES (and Giant Bomb text confirms it), but actual screenshots all relates to Ocean version! There is some mystery here for sure! :) |
