Please people, I'm as sorry as you that you didn't get to blast some aliens, but it's a terrible effort as it is making sure all you rookies get some action, even more the high-ranked ones. The Skyranger can only carry 14 soldiers and I can't use them all in a mission otherwise the aliens would just throw a grenade and take you all down in one clear swoop. Also I can't be splitting the aliens with the soldiers, the kill goes to whoever can kill it at the moment, I'm sorry but you'll have to manage with that, I can't go waiting for the soldier on the other side of the map to get to it just because he/she hasn't got any kills.

While I'm at it, the ranks also aren't under my control. Who knows how X-Com's ranking system works so if you didn't get promoted for being a badass or got promoted for doing absolutely nothing but lying around in the base, I'm sorry but it's not my fault.

it's based on kills. hoever there are a few minor rules:
1) one rank at a time
2) only one solider may hold the highest rank (and even if he never goes to anothe mission in his whole life other will have to remain below him until he is killed.

it's just that I find it amusing (and starngely true if you know how the army works) that we get promoted for something our underlings did :D (and steal their medals, and in some counries their supplies too :( ).

I decided to take a break from RPing and just tell you what's been going on. Frankly, it's been pretty boring. We're up to 10th Feb and absolutely nothing has happened, no UFOs, no sites, no anything. I think the aliens are on to us :P

Research on the Medikit was completed and now we're researching Alien Alloys so that we can later get Personal Armour :)

Also, construction on Aban. Reloaded (shortened due to character limit) has begun. It's been placed on North America since the other one's on Eurasia and they're pretty good continents to cover. And they have the big bucks ;)

It'll probably just support some Interceptor craft since putting a new Skyranger would require transfer of lots of equipment and soldiers, and Abandonia is doing a fine job taking care of them.

Oh, and the first KIA soldiers are gonna be ressurected, they've been dead long enough ;)

How about adding a total number of times KIA behind every soldier?
That way we can keep score with the longest lived soldier :ok:
