i met them once and battled them with my cargo ship. could barelly defeat them. i wish those missions were not so tough. and they also require a military drive (why????????).


i like bieng assasing. waiting bahind the space station and when they come out to go into hyperspace - bzzzzzzzzz PUF! yeeehaaa!!! Rock & Roll! and i am off to another planet.

Btw if oyu come in trouble you can use random hyperspace jump (Shift+H i think).

One thing i never managed to use properly is could analyser. once i hyperspace behind the "target" i never find him in another system he went to.

At the end of the intro, instead of showing me those options, it starts again. It doesn't work for me.

EDIT: How does one find the sector in which he is, if he scrooled to far away from it ?

start, click, hit escape, new game, hit 2 during intro and there you are.

i think you are talking about elite2 because it had 3 choices of start and the seconf one was on mars with some spaceship equipped with just interplanetary drive

Would be nice if it would run in DOSBox, because I have an Audigy sound card so the SoundBlaster emulation stutters under Windows XP. Creative said they simply weren't going to address that years ago.

there should be a key for it or there is one of the icons. have you searched the manual for that?

how about if you go in the system (map of system with planet orbits) and then pop out again?

Nevermind, all I had to do to fix the stuttering was reboot. I think I had some kind of memory leak, everything kept getting slower and slowwerrrr.
