I still play this game to this day! I've got such a good system of beating the game that I can stroll through it realativly easy.

If anyone would like I could write up something quick on Skills and were to go in what order so that by the time you are in the Sewers you are all equipped with Power Armour (AC 14) and have weapons that you just stroll up and smack down everything! :)

Still one of my favorite games of all time! I've been wishing for a remake ever since the Fallout series came out.

The fact that the story is stored in the manual in paragraphs as opposed to being ingame kinda ticked me off but otherwise, It's a GREAT game , A remake of this would be great :D And if you wouldn't mind that would be great

Kind of off topic, but theres a group of ppls making a Fallout 1 remake called "Shelter" (Fallout, Shelter, fallout shelter..haha) and the game looks really really promising, search it on Youtube....

I played this game when I was a kid on the commodore 64. This was THE GAME that got me addicted to video games. I played it for hours on end, the storyline and gameplay for the time was great. I think of this game often as an adult and look forward to purchasing fallout 3 in a few days and returning to the twisted bedlam of my youth.

Played this game way back in the 80s i think... simple graphics.. great storyline... defeintely worth replaying again

Wish Bethesda, now that they own the Fallout license, would release Fallout 1 as freeware, i's 11 years old, thats what they did with Arena when they released Oblivion, as a promotional, so hopefully, the week before Fallout 3's released (october 7th) they'll release Fallout fo' free son

And wasteland supposibly isn't technically free (apparently) but I think when a games 20 years old, it kinda reaches that "free" point, dont cha think?

Is there anyone out there that can help me download this? I bought it too back in the 80s (C64) and loved it, was looking here at all the old stuff and wanted to try it again but no dice, can't seem to click the download link.

You can't download Wasteland. Brian Fargo's inXile entertainment has acquired the rights, so it is protected.
