I know of another person that experienced a funny screen when they tried to maximise their DosBox screen.

My advice to you is what I told them, try opening DosBox already maximised. To do this you need to edit the dosbox.conf file (open it with notepad etc) with the following:

Find fullscreen=false change it to fullscreen=true

Hopefully that'll work k:
Thats what i did

Dreadlord All I did was expand the window, it worked...

Unless you have crazy XP where it screams and doesn't let you do anything normal, it makes you sit in a corner and then it fiddles with the computer settings until something doesn't work, which slowly unravels itself.

But yeah, make the window bigger, I found myself dying in Blood because I couldn't see the little pixelated people that ran around.

BUFFY Change your resolution to 1024 x 768 and see if DosBox loads differently.

Im not sure if its like notepad where the last place you close it is the first place it loads back up to, but maybe adjust it, exit the long way (exit option in game, exit command in prompt) then maybe *fingers and toes crossed* it'll move next time you open it again.

Im sure an expert will have more orthodox ways for you to try

BeefontheBone That's what I do (the disadvantage is you have to window it to see the number of cycles when you adjust it...)

Also, when DOSBox goes into fullscreen it centres itself slightly too far up and left of where the centre of my monitor is so I have to keep adjusting the monitor settings. anyone know why this might be?

Nobody i can run my games in dosbox, but only in a window, because when i put dosbox in fullscreen it goes all funny, i think it is my computers resolution, but i can not get the resolution to go below 800x600, when the computer in 800x600 and run dosbox the picture is better but is funny and split in two, i was wondering if anyone knew a way to get around this and make my resolution lower??
