Kon-Tiki | Easiest way's still to extract the files from the Police Quest zip to the folder of Enclosure. That way's designed to work under XP. | |

Also, if it's Police Quest 1, the easiest thing to do, is to download Enclosure as well and extract PQ1 into a subfolder of Enclosure. To run the game, run Enclosure and select PQ1. If it's Police Quest 2 or higher, there're several choices: DosBox, VMDsound or FreeSCI. DosBox and VMDsound can be found on the main page of Abandonia, under Programs. FreeSCI can be found here. |

You guys are so cheeky! :P John, first of all which Police Quest is it... generally all you have to do is extract the files using Winzip, and then some programs require you to run the setup file. Once this is done use DosBox to play the game (executable file). Easy way of using DosBox is shown HERE. I haven't downloaded those games so Im not sure of the file structure, but there is usually a file which will be quite obvious.... eg. install.exe (set's up stuff, doesn't usually acutally install) or setup.exe, if this isn't present then don't worry just skip straight to DosBox. DosBox should sort out most issues.... Post back with more details of the game etc, and specifically what the problem you have is, and im sure these guys will help - just dont use caps, its a sensitive issue |
