Comrades, I got Dosbox, I downloaded UW2, I mounted the folder containing the files of the game as C in Dosbox. I tried to run every bat com exe, but the game won't run. I have WinME, P4 1.4 Ghz, 512 DDRam, and I get the following error message when I type Uw2: EMS Allocated Cannot run underworld Could not read Data. Error Code D001 This is the second time I downloaded the game, but it won't work. HELP! |

In my search for an answer i was made aware that Laptops, & in particuLar, deLL Laptops have (as one tek put it) an "eviL memory gremLin". Adding the foLLowing Line to my Config.sys FiLe has (so far) banished my gremLin: DEVICE=C:\EMM386.EXE 1024 FRAME=D000 I reaLLy appreciate the great responses i received here ... :tnx: p.s. fun smiLies!!! |

twist, Open your config.sys file for editing (notepad is fine; file is in C drive, root directory (top directory). Look if there is a line similar to this: DEVICE=EMM386.EXE NOEMS and change it to DEVICE=EMM386.EXE RAM Reboot computer and try game again. |
