Tracker | Well, sorry, I might have confused it with another title. Does dialogue text set the speed? I searched for your problem in Google and it gave this: http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic....752&highlight=. Someone else had this problem too. You might want to check whether the game files are intact as the poster in the ScummVM forums suggest.

sambuyaka | Hmm, maybe I'm blind, but I don't see that slider in either the game controls, or the audio controls. I only see walk speed, language, studio audience, talk interruption, dialogue text, music volume, SFX volume, talking volume, and helium mode. Any other suggestions?

Tracker | There's a slider in the options menu that adjusts the text speech in the Legend of Kyrandia games.

Dialogue speed Has anyone else had an issue with the dialogue speed? When I play the game, the text flashes so quickly that there's no way for me to read it. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

HELP Looking for help playing this game via DOSBox. I'm new to this whole emulator thing, and I've gotten the first two games of this series to work just fine. However, I cannot get Malcolm's Revenge to work, nor can I get the sound on Companions of Xanth to run. I'm running on a 64bit windows 7 machine. THANKS |

Ah thanks for the advice guys, but I've played through half of it without any sound now so I'm too lazy to go back and fix that. Plus I remember all the sounds and voices anyway so I just apply them from memory when I read the subtitles lol. On the plus side it means I can listen to my preferred choice of music while I play the game =] Also to note, I didn't need to change my keys around in the end, as the \ key turned out to be a different place on the keyboard for dosbox anyway. n_n |

Torquemurder | Although I haven't tried it yet, the new version of ScummVM supports this game natively. You may want to give that a shot instead of DOSBox (although I did manage to get this working just fine under DOSBox a while back.)

The keymapper interface shows you a virtual keyboard. You choose a key to be reported to the program, then the key(keys) to bind to this action. The "mod" keys also can be used, so you could for example bind the backslash to a cobination of Slash (/) button and Mod 1 (right CTRL). |

Weird, I just reinstalled the game from Abandonia. Unziped the archive. Nothing altered, ran the game with main, sound is working in dosbox 0.72, default dosbox config. No setup or install needed. Just mount your CD drive as D, no cd needed in it. ???? My advise to you: delete the folder and start over from scratch. You probably screwed the settings by running the install. And did you read the nfo file included? Quote:
