Movies Don't Run I have installed the game as instructed on the review page (directly from a route drive), and have configured my sound options. The game runs, but I do not get any intro movies (just the Infocom logo). Also, I doubt I'm running with the CD music (it doesn't sound like it, but I could be wrong). I am running the game through ScummVM. When I start the game, it tells me that the file contains music files that need to be ripped in order to here the music. How do I do this? Is it even possible? Any and all help is appreciated. Regards, Michael UPDATE: I got it working! P.S. I can get it running in DosBox, but again, no movies. I tried the configuration that someone in this thread suggested (by creating a special Zork.conf file), but this didn't work for my movie problem, or the music (that I can tell). |

DarthHelmet86 | How come you can't use DOSBox? A little elaboration will allow us to actually help you.

I can't use DOSBox. It has not worked for me, no matter what I try. |

The Fifth Horseman | Use DOSBox and you should have sound. Also, this is pre-installed and ready to run.

Instructions So, I think I've got most of it: I had troubles installing the game from the hard drive, so I used the burning program that came with my CD Burner, Nero, to burn a DATA CD of ALL the files in the zip file that I downloaded. It allowed me to install Zork from the disc by clicking on install and following the instructions. The problems I'm faced with are that the game moves incredibly quickly and I have no sound - looking back in this thread, I think they're related because the sound "synchs to the game" somehow. That being said, I've tried pretty much every combination I can think of and I can't get the sound to work. |

Yes you can! Just copy it to a CD, then go to the CD you copied it to and type '"'install" and follow the screen prompts (you will need the CD to observe all of the visual effects of the game). |

I think it's pre-installed. Just use the .exe file to run the game. |
