talking 'bout Abandonia spirit Sorry again 'cause you can't count me in till the 20th december. It's about time for the adimns to make new section. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. If someone has some articles or want to type them, I guess we must check that. If they don't wanna, I will be glad. Do I need permission from our owner to do so? Maybe I shoul leave my mail adress so people can send articles, after which I need to contact magazines. Don't mean to be arrogant, anyone can do that, so can I. Or maybe more of us should leave e-mail and be in charge of this new section????????? yu-hu admins, your move baby |

Havell | Hmmm, I think I have a couple of articles that concern abandonware, I'll take a look to see if they're worth uploading.

Wa-hoo! Just got a reply from the editor of Australian Personal Computer about using articles from old editions of the magazine: <<<Wendy, that's fine, but on the condition that you email me when it's done. I always check to see how the brand is represented. best regards Tony Sarno Editor, APC>>> I'll start typing up an article tonight |

Unlimited VIP access. Wendy is lucky. I'd contribute some mags myself, but I don't have any more than 1 year old. But I could scan the web and look for some articles and reviews, and rewrite them. Personally, I think it's an awesome idea. |

The two Australian magazines I've contacted to get permission were: Australian Personal Computer and PC Powerplay. I tried to phone PC Powerplay - which has the most game related articles, but according to the directory operator there is no longer a company with this name registered. PC Powerplay has a web presence - a forum only - with an email address for those wanting to subscribe. I emailed this addie but still waiting for a response. This company could be defunct. The only magazines I have of theirs are now 7 - 8 years old. Australian Personal Computer seems to be still active with a website and current email address. Just waiting to hear back from them. If I don't hear by tomorrow, I'll phone them. Both these companies are unfortunately located about a thousand miles from where I live in another State. I've got lots of other Aussie magazines, but these two have the oldest editions - 1996. Also have some British computer magazines from 1996, but they might be hard to track down by email. If a company has gone out of biz, what is the situation then? |

Mucman | Thanks Yavor... I just remembered my brother has a scanner! I'll see what kind of scans I can do when I get the chance. I guess I should also contact all the magazine publishers for permission too, eh? I have all PC Accelerator, and Incite magazines which are now out of print. I wonder if these are considered the abandonware of magazines?
