You need W2Ksp4 for it (I thought) To activate it: Click Start Click Run Type cmd cd %systemroot%\AppPatch regsvr32 slayerui.dll It's ok when this :DllRegisterServer in c:\winnt\appatch\slayerui.dll succeeded appears. Other than for XP the comp tab is only active on shortcuts, not on the prog executable itself, so: Create a shortcut for the game (rightclick-> create shortcut). Now you have a compability tab by rightclicking on the shortcuts for older win progs executables in W2K. It is not as performant as the one under XP but sometimes it's enough to get older Windows progs to work. If you want to disable it again: regsvr32 /u slayerui.dll |

The Fifth Horseman | Install an older version of Windows on MS Virtual PC 2007 and use that to run the game.

Steinhauser | No good, there doesn't seem to be a Compatibility heading/mode/section.

You won't run either of them in DOSBox, unless you install Windows on it (it's possible, but I don't advise new users to attempt that) Right-click the games' executables, select [Properties] and [Compatibility]. Select "Windows 95" as the mode. |

I downloaded DOSbox and it works perfectly fine when running WarCraft. However, when I try to run the Setup.exe file for either SimCity or SimTower, the message says that the file requires Microsoft Windows. I've tried opening the files in Windoes, too, to no avail (nothing happens). I am using Windows 2000 if that affects anything. Thanks in advance for your help. |
