The Fifth Horseman Use Microsoft Virtual PC to run the game.

It's a free download from MS website, but you'll have to install an OS on it like you would on a normal computer. So far it worked for me with several Win95/98 games that refused to work on XP.

nyrhinen It's not a DOS game but I could try with the compatibility mode. I totally forgot that!

edit. I tried with the Windows 98 / ME mode but I got another error:

Code:
The instruction at 00438228 referenced memory at 000f0000
The memory could not be read from

Click on OK to terminate the application

catchaserguns If it is a dos game use Dosbox and if it is a Windows game try the compatabilty mode.

nyrhinen Hello, new to these forums. :-)

I've been searching all over for my very very old copy of a game called "Lurid Land" (Some screenshots) and when I finally found it, I got a warning that said something like this:

Code:
Application Error: ...

An privileged instruction was executed at address 0043820b

Click on OK to terminate the application.
I think that's because I'm running on Windows XP and I used to play that on Windows 98 when I was a kid. Still, any help?

Thanks already!

edit. gaaah! Could someone capitalize the second 'l' in this topic. It disturbs me! :-)
