Unknown Hero | What a brain, mika! I hope this will work. |

Well, that sounds like a 2 or 3 day job to code :P And you know how lazy I am by nature |

That exactly what I mean. So... 1st screen: list of already "registered" games. click on register new game, allocate self to game or view existing game. Register new would just let you place a name of the game, maybe a short description and maybe even a link to mobygames. Allocate would allow you to allocate yourself to reviewing/uploading/fixing/etc... a game. Maybe give deadlines etc... View game is just for seeing who is allocated to a game (maybe history of allocations too like an audit log) and maybe even a link to a forum topic for the game. This top should be separate from the actual game comments we have once a game is uploaded but might be useful for collaboration on review and such. This whole thing would need some sort of user system - maybe use the forums users? It doesn't seem like that much - a couple of screens and db tables. Who can see I'm a developer? |

Space is not an issue. And there is an "admin" area I programmed that allows easy adding and editing of content, I'm just reluctant to giving it to anyone.... I was just wondering how we could organize the whole system for applying for reviews & stuff. I could write a short script that would let people subscribe and unsubscribe from games, also set deadlines and so on |

Unknown Hero | It would be.... as long as it wont occupy to much of available space. Am I right? |

Durak | I think anyone should be able to submit games+reviews etc. But they have to be aproved by a moderator to make it onto the site. Well, I think this would be the best plan IF we implemented a system like this. =) |

Kosta | Sure, that sounds like a good idea. Could you elaborate a bit more about how that would work exactly? |

To tell you the truth I doubt it would work very well here (where the site is about downloadable content which not everyone might agree upon :P ), but it has worked in other contexts. Check http://www.wikipedia.org to see what I mean. Anyway, what do you think about the management section? |

Kosta | Oldgames.nu implemented this system and it didn't show very good. This means absolutely no quality or content control... might work in a utopist world :P |
