Time to dig this topic back up, as Im once again trying to run this beast. Now, I first installed the Daggerfall (full), then patched it. This time, I followed the rules on here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Runni...Box#Daggerfall After the installation and patching, when I try to run it, it all works. Then, If I restart dosbox and play it again, it crashes when I either load a game or choose a race from new game. And this time, I didnt use the no-cd patch. |

TC, you mean you applied the patch after No-CD? That's now how you're supposed to do it. First you apply the patch. Then you apply the No-CD crack, remembering that it MUST be specified for the patch version you've got. |

dosraider | Not unusual, the patch eliminates the no-cd ..... or something.

The problem is that without the patch Daggerfall is more than highly buggy and unstable. I remember before applying it when it was released there were lot of impossible to explore dungeons, as it was just crashing to dos, and then most of the quest were never completed. While there were some bugs left, with the latest patch you can finish every quests and do not meet so many crash to dos in dungeons. I always have a win98 OS installed on an old computer and so never tried Daggerfall in DOSBox. I remember having read that there is some kind of software named Virtual PC that allow you to "virtually" run an older OS when you have window XP. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Virtual_PC That could be a possible solution for you if you want to run Daggerfall without DOSBox as apparently it gives you problems. |

Add -freesize 700 to your default mount, and that little bit should be solved. |

TheChosen | I found this, but this is a slightly different case, as this was downloaded from the internet and it used nocd.bat
