The Fifth Horseman Then the corruption applies to the original archive on the server.

Try downloading from somwhere else and see if that copy works correctly..

Yes I did, I downloaded the game twice.

BlueCat Hello, I hope you don't mind me crashing into this forum, but I am rather desperate.

I used DosBox to install the game and everything runs smoothly. The introduction played fine until the doorman starts to speak. The game then crashes with the message:

"Error: There was an error trying to open the file "SPEECH60.LIB"

I selected "Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 or AWE32" as my audio driver but I also tried other drivers and they did not work either

If I turn off the digital audio, there are no problems.

I searched the Abandonia's troubleshooting archive and there was another person who had this problem, but it was not followed up.

Please help me troubleshoot this, because I really want to hear the speech.
