The author is a common term used to describe whoever made the effort of putting it on the site

Anyways, we would feel a lot better if people scanned stuff for this site, and not that we take them from other sites. It feels like leeching, and we don't like that.

That site doesn't have a disclaimer that says that all their scans are free for anyone to use. As such, they are the property of that site

The Scans are from http://www.darktown.to/ - free for everyone. The Scans are User Uploads. And i think they wouldn't upload them on this site if they don't want to share them with others.

We don't want to steal scans made by someone else. If you have some scans you have personally made yourself for this site, then we would be thrilled to have them.

But we don't just take scans from the net, as that is stealing someone elses labour.
